How is LulaRoe Different from Other Network Marketing or Pyramid Companies?
Ugh, I hate using the word “pyramid” and “LulaRoe” in one sentence because LulaRoe isn’t like that at all! LulaRoe is VERY different from other Network Marketing and Pyramid companies, and for a few reasons:
- With many network marketing and pyramid companies you have thousands of representatives selling the EXACT same product. You compete with each other in an effort to “earn” customers. LulaRoe offers the same styles and sizes to all of their consultants, but their patters vary greatly from one consultant to the next, and you have no control over which patters are shipped to you. It is absolutely impossible to find two consultants that have the exact same inventory, with the exact same prints, in the exact same sizes. The variation in patterns encourages customers to shop from multiple LulaRoe consultants, and encourages consultants to work together to bring the best outfit choices to customers.
- With many network marketing and pyramid companies, you make money off of building your “network” or “pyramid”. While there are benefits to building your network of consultants with LulaRoe, that isn’t your primary source of income. You may money selling high quality clothing and outfits to LulaRoe customers. The margins are fantastic, and there is no cap on income potential or growth. You own your own clothing business, THAT is how you make a living. Building your team is just a fun added bonus!
How Much Does It Cost?
There are no fees to becoming a consultant, but there are start-up costs. You need to purchase inventory, and supplies to run your business.
There are a few different packages you can purchase when starting, and the packages range from $5,000-10,000. You can’t choose the styles or sizing included in the order, but LulaRoe does a fantastic job of providing you with a great variety of popular items in all sizes. Once the initial order is placed, you control ALL future orders. While you have no control over the prints, you are in full control over the quantity of each style and size you would like to order. Shipping is always free on every order and there is only a 30 piece minimum on re-orders.

Frequently Asked Questions to Becoming a Consultant
- What do you do with all the “ugly” prints? What you may consider to be “ugly” is often times someone’s unicorn. There is no such thing as an “ugly” print. If you see a print you feel is less desirable, pairing it with another LulaRoe piece will give it a whole new look!
- How long does it take to earn back your return? Most consultants earn back their original investment within the first 2-4 weeks, but like anything else, you get out what you put in.
- Do I have to sign up other consultants in order to make money? Absolutely NOT. Your primary source of income is made from selling clothing. While there is a great income potential for building your team, it isn’t a requirements and doesn’t have any impact on the income generated from clothing sales.
- Do I have to do shows in people’s homes? Absolutely not! If you feel more comfortable hosting online shows, uploading albums, or hosting online pop-ups, that is entirely your choice.
